Journey (2002)

Photographic response to a brief to produce a piece of work about a journey that i take every day.

Picking up on details that are often missed as people hurry about, i took my camera out and took my daily walk from Lewes Road to Grand Parade slowly, documenting my surroundings as i went. I noticed that the lamposts all had stencilled numbers on, and created a set of simple photographs.

Wear Your Badge With Pride

This set of badges were created for the Icons of England project commissioned by the Department of Culture, Media & Sport. The badges were designed to go on the sites of organizations affiliated with the project.

The brief was to create a banner that was not a typical banner for external sites to link back in to Icons site. I began by looking at retro badge collections, then decided to animate the badges so i could keep them simple and use strong imagery that didn’t then interfere with any copy integrated into the designs.
